This three part series gives an in depth look at the history and geopolitics of China.

Today’s Topic: The Making of Modern China. Review some of the history of China from the end of imperial isolation, to civil war with victory for the Communist Party of China, to the Cultural Revolution. Then in 1972 Nixon visited Mao. Rapid unbelievable economic growth fuels deep urban/rural tensions. Tiananmen Square in 1989 shows politics unchanged.
