Program Description

Event Details

This audio-visual lecture explores the origins of World War I, which began in the Balkans and quickly escalated to a global scale. One hundred years ago, The War to End All War began in Europe, a tragedy that shattered illusions of progress and sowed the seeds for even more horrors to come. When it was finally over, 17 million were dead, 22 million were wounded, countless numbers were displaced, 4 empires were destroyed, and the map of Europe was redrawn.

Sponsored by the Friends of the Bonita Springs Library.
