Program Description

Event Details

For ages 12-17 years and graduating high school seniors. Earn service hours while helping your community with the online Teen Summer of Service program. This three-week series introduces participants to a variety of local agencies that provide services throughout the community and offers the opportunity for teens to brainstorm solutions that can make Lee County even better!

Each one-hour program will include a short presentation by the guest speaker, breakout group discussions, and activities. Presenters will offer several options for service projects that can be completed in your space and at a time that is convenient for you.

  • June 26 -  Community Cooperative
  • July 10 - FGCU Rock!
  • July 24 - Harry Chapin Food Bank

All participants will need to pick up a free kit of supplies to complete the service projects before the start of the program. Completed projects will be due back to the library by August 3rd. 

All registered participants will receive a confirmation email with more details for each presentation.

Teens who fully participate in the program can earn a maximum of 25 hours. This series is part of the Summer Reading Program.

Registration opens on May 1, 2024.

Photography During Programs

While attending library programs, visitors may be photographed by library staff. Photographs become library property and may be used in library promotions. Individuals who do not want to be photographed or recorded are responsible for removing themselves from the area or notifying the photographer of their opt-out status.
