Event Details
The relationship between humans and horses has shaped both in remarkable ways. Over time, people have selectively bred horses into dozens of distinct breeds, while horses have profoundly influenced human history. From transportation and trade to work, recreation, and warfare, horses have played a central role in how societies developed.
This engaging lecture explores what defines a horse, including their evolution, anatomy, behavior, and breeds. It also highlights the many roles horses have played throughout human history and the lasting impact of this unique partnership.
Presented by José Juves.
