Brief Description of Event

The Twentieth Judicial Circuit is offering the 4-hour refresher training to Process Servers at the Fort Myers Regional Library. This program is designed for individuals seeking re-appointment as a special process server or certified process server pursuant to Chapter 48, Florida Statutes.

The seminar presenter is Mr. Victor P. Ortino who has served in SWFL since 1984, while providing training sessions through the Lorenzo Walker Technical College for over the past five years.

Curriculum includes:
Judicial System, Florida Statutes, Rules of Civil Procedure, Functions of the Clerk of Courts in civil actions, How process is serviced, Return of Services, Responsibilities of the process server to the appointing authority
