Brief Description of Event
A workshop of arborists, pest control operators, landscapers and the general public. Applications of pesticides can be made directly into the trunk of trees and palms. Concentrated systemic pesticides are injected into the trunks of trees and palms for faster translocation to the problem area. These types of applications are particularly effective in controlling some of the most troublesome insect pests of ornamental landscape trees and palms including aphids, scale insects and whiteflies. Injections are also done using antibiotics to control palm diseases such as lethal yellowing and lethal bronzing.
