Brief Description of Event

The SWFL Feminist Community Reading Group is a new space for community members to explore and discuss feminist literature together, focusing on the relevance of this literature for our lives today. We meet each month at the Fort Myers Regional Library in the River District. People of all ages, genders, and backgrounds are welcome to participate. Participants are encouraged but not required to do the selected reading for that meeting in advance.

For our July meeting, we'll be discussing the Preface and the Introduction to the sociologist Michael Kimmel's "Angry White Men: American Masculinity at the End of an Era" (Nation Books, 2013). The book is available through our local library system and through on-line booksellers.
