Brief Description of Event
The SWFL Feminist Community Reading Group is a new space for community members to explore and discuss feminist literature together, focusing on the relevance of this literature for our lives today. We meet each month at the Fort Myers Regional Library in the River District. People of all ages, genders, and backgrounds are welcome to participate. Participants are encouraged but not required to do the selected reading for that meeting in advance.
For our June meeting, we'll be discussing the introduction to Kate Manne's new book, "Down Girl: The Logic of Misogyny" (Oxford University Press, 2019). The meeting will take place from 4:30-5:30 on Wednesday, June 26th. We will meet in the South Building of the Fort Myers Regional Library (Rooms C,D). Tea and refreshments will be provided.
