For children ages birth – 18 months and caregivers
Bond with your baby and meet new friends during this special storytime that promotes:
- social skills,
- motor skills, and
- early literacy skills.
Parents and caregivers wiggle and giggle with their babies to stories, music, activities and rhymes.
Each program offers literacy tips and strategies that encourage language skills and stimulate brain development, setting the foundation for later reading success.
For ages Birth-18 months. Please pick up a Storytime Ticket at the Youth Services desk the morning of the program. Space is limited.
Birth to 5 years and caregivers
This fun and engaging storytime promotes and reinforces early literacy skills and language development through stories, music, movement and activities.
Parents and caregivers participate with their children while learning helpful early literacy strategies and tips to continue at home.
Join us each week for family friendly movies in the meeting room for children, grades K-5.
Please call the Northwest Regional Library for weekly movie titles. Movie ratings range from G to PG.

Accompanying Adults
This program is designed for children and accompanying adults. Please plan to attend and be engaged with your child for this program. Drop offs will not be permitted.

We will be meeting with staff to plan for the upcoming school year and problem solve regarding staff shortages and how to retain new staff.
A casual self-guided group of scrappers share inspiring ideas and techniques. Attendees should bring their own scrapbooking projects. Enjoy using our paper, scissors, and other supplies.

Rise to the chess challenge and join the fun. Chess enthusiasts of all ages are welcome! Bring your own chess set or use one of ours. This program is provided by the Friends of the East County Regional Library.

This session is open to the public and offers high school students and their families guidance into the application process for highly selective institutions and information about UChicago's undergraduate offerings .
The 90 minute sessions provide adult learners an opportunity to practice speaking English with native speakers. Topics include everyday situations, current events and cultural areas.
