Brief Description of Event

The Friends of the Dunbar-Jupiter Hammon Public Library welcome everyone to our Unity Celebration. Join your friends, neighbors, and family in celebration of the stories that make us human. In honor of this year's Black History Month theme - Black Health and Wellness - the celebration includes health check stations, a 5-K run co-sponsored by Dunbar Festival Committee, the Black History Society and Friends of the Dunbar Jupiter Hammon Public Library. At 2pm, local storyteller Dr. Joel Ying, M.D., will entertain us with tales about a very special teacher, how Kumbaya and Civil Rights relate, and leaving a legacy of love.
