Clerk Doggett will teach attendees how to search and view Lee County’s civil and criminal court documents and public records for free on the Clerk’s website. You will learn how to view mortgages, property deeds, marriage licenses, and other official documents recorded in Lee County.
Searching public records can assist with investigating:
•Landlords and tenants
•Business and relationship partners
•Genealogy and ancestry
•Doctors and medical providers
Information on how to redact your private information from public records in accordance with state law will also be presented.
Other topics covered in this seminar include how to:
•pay traffic tickets online;
•access the county’s financial and audit reports;
•participate in foreclosure and tax deed auctions
•postpone jury duty; and,
•report suspected guardianship fraud.
