Program Description

Event Details

Speaker: Ken Weaver - Having an understanding of the language issues a genealogist will encounter in finding a German ancestor will help to make research considerably easier. This session will take a look at various issues of the German sound system that will help to explain spelling variations, as well as issues of word forms and sentence word order that will help with the decoding of German documents. This session is non-technical and is intended for the genealogist who has limited knowledge (or dislike!) of grammar.
