Program Description

Event Details

Join firefighters from the Lehigh Fire Control and Rescue District for an interactive discussion about what it is like to be a Firefighter EMT and Firefighter Paramedic. The program will include a tour of the fire engine and an overview of the tools used daily in fire and rescue services. This is also an opportunity to learn more about the District’s Cadet Post, a youth-oriented program focusing on the vocational study of professional firefighting through classroom and hands-on experience.

Special services like sign language interpretation and assistive listening can be provided at events to patrons upon request. Photography During Programs

While attending library programs, visitors may be photographed by library staff. Photographs become library property and may be used in library promotions. Individuals who do not want to be photographed or recorded are responsible for removing themselves from the area or notifying the photographer of their opt-out status.

Caregivers for Teen Events

This program is intended for attendees ages 12 to 17 to attend independently. Please speak with staff if caregiver assistance is needed.
