Program Description

Event Details

For ages 12 to 17. Join for a special after-hours program just for teens after the library is closed. This lock-in event features activities, games, crafts and a movie.  Please refer to the registration and eligibility requirements for this program.

- Only those between the ages of 12 and 17 will be allowed to attend. No exceptions.

- Online registration is required. Staff will email a required permission slip prior to the event.

-  The parent/guardian will be contacted to verify permission for the child to participate in the after-hours program. 

- The completed parental permission slip must be returned to the hosting library two days before the event.

- All participants must have a reliable form of transportation to and from the library.

- If a teen has a valid driver’s license and wishes to drive him or herself to and from the event, a parent/guardian must indicate that on the registration form.

- Participants will enter and exit from designated entrances only.

- Doors will open when the program is scheduled to begin. There will be a few minutes allowance for latecomers.

- Approved rides are expected to pick up participants at the designated entrance promptly at the close of the program.

- Security/Staff will be on hand to walk participants to cars parked at the designated entrance of the library, if requested.

Special services like sign language interpretation and assistive listening can be provided at events to patrons upon request. Please give at least up to five business days notice to library staff in order to schedule services at events. Call 239-479-4636 or stop by the reference desk at your local library.

Photography During Programs

While attending library programs, visitors may be photographed by library staff. Photographs become library property and may be used in library promotions. Individuals who do not want to be photographed or recorded are responsible for removing themselves from the area or notifying the photographer of their opt-out status.
