Event Details

Susan B. Anthony is one of the most famous women in American history. A women’s rights activist, she played a prominent role in the suffrage movement which led to the 19th Amendment, giving women the right to vote. She was a strong supporter of women’s labor organizations and fought for a woman’s right to own property. Susan B. Anthony devoted her life to racial, gender, and educational equality.

The show is 45 minutes, followed by audience questions and conversation.

Susan B. Anthony is performed by Sheryl Faye, who has been bringing stories of historical women to life in a unique and memorable way for over a decade.

This program accompanies "Voices and Votes: Democracy in America" opening at the Cape Coral Lee County Public Library on September 14, 2024.
