Brief Description of Event

First Students Working Against Tobacco (SWAT) meeting. SWAT is a statewide youth organization focused on educating, empowering, and mobilizing Florida youth to revolt against and de-glamorize Big Tobacco. Our goal is to change social norms so that tobacco use, and tobacco companies are no longer tolerated in our culture. Participants engage in one-hour monthly meetings to combat the tobacco industry's influence, develop essential life skills, and/or advocate for policy changes that deter youth tobacco initiation and reduces exposure to secondhand smoke in our community. Participants earn community service hours and foster a sense of community.

We are hoping to have monthly meetings at the library the last Thursday every month!
