Program Description

Event Details

Help us celebrate the 50th anniversary of the first human on the moon with fun and exciting space science. We will explore rocket aerodynamics, thrust, motion and trajectory to see what it took to get to the moon, and investigate the moon and its phases. As we investigate the immense scale of interstellar and galactic distances, a universe of adventures and stories will await us.

Photography During Programs

While attending library programs, visitors may be photographed by library staff. Photographs become library property and may be used in library promotions. Individuals who do not want to be photographed or recorded are responsible for removing themselves from the area or notifying the photographer of their opt-out status.

Caregivers for Kids Programs

This program is intended for children ages 6 to 11 to attend independently while caregivers wait nearby. Seating for caregivers and siblings will be available if space allows. Please speak with staff before registering if caregiver assistance is needed.
