Program Description

Event Details

If you enjoyed Part 1 of Karlus Trapp's delightful edutainment presentation last year, you will love Part 2!  All of the great spirituals, blues, jazz, pop, and rock of the first 100 years can't be contained in just one hour. Did you know that many of the top stars of today were heavily influenced by the music pioneers of over 100 years ago? Did you know who the queen of blues was in the 1930's, or what rock & roll piano-playing legend wrote 3 songs that Elvis recorded on his first record? Hear the songs and stories of artists including Marvin Gaye, Michael Jackson, The Drifters, Stevie Wonder, and Nat King Cole.
