Recycling Education with Keep Lee County Beautiful

Brief Description of Event

We will start with a brief presentation of who we are and what we do, followed by in-depth look at what happens with waste and recyclables once they leave the curb. Students will do activities revolving around recycling (sorting, etc) followed by a craft - either a self-watering planter (made from water bottles, rope, and glue) or a bowl (rolled up pieces of paper glued together to make a centerpiece type bowl) or a bird feeder (either a carton or 2-liter bottle that has holes in it they'll decorate). Not expecting this to be messy, I've done it before and it was a quick easy cleanup.
