Charley Valera is the award-winning author of "My Father’s War: Memories from Our Honored WWII Soldiers." Valera’s own father was a WWII veteran who, like most, rarely talked about the war with his family. Years after his father passed away, much more was discovered, inspiring Valera to interview other WWII veterans. Covering both theaters and all branches of WWII, Valera will share some fascinating first-hand stories with a focus on The Battle of the Bulge. A special four minute film trailer will also be shown. Charley will sell and sign books after his presentation.
Charley has appeared on NBC/NECN, WPRI and other TV outlets. He’s been featured in magazines, newspapers and radio throughout the country. Valera writes articles and blogs for various media on WWII, real estate and aviation. A licensed commercial pilot, author, filmmaker, and public speaker, Charley and his family live in SW Florida.
