Program Description

Event Details

Medicare and related programs are complicated and difficult to understand.  It is easy to lose out on benefits or incur extra costs because of the complexities.

This presentation will provide an overview of original Medicare (Parts A & B), Advantage (Part C) plans and Part D drug plans as well as Medigap supplement policies, other Medicare-related programs and the coordination of benefits. It will include the basics for each type of coverage, current issues and significant recent changes.

A question and answer period will follow the presentation.

The presenter will be Hallie Devlin, a volunteer SHINE (Serving the Health Insurance Needs of Elders) Program Medicare counselor with the Area Agency on Aging for Southwest Florida and Florida Department of Elder Affairs.
