Program Description

Event Details

Once an ancestor's birthplace has been identified, there are three major sources for locating records: FamilySearch, Italian Parish Records, and Antenati. Civil records are mostly written in Italian and church records, in Latin, and they are not indexed. This program will be an introduction on how to navigate these sites to locate individual town records and find civil records from 1809 to 1910.
