Brief Description of Event
This is a free, 2 hour self-defense course for women 13-100 years of age put on by the Lee County Sheriff’s Office called R.E.A.D.Y.-Women and Girls- Self-Defense Course.
This course will teach women to be ready to respond with empowerment and awareness to defend themselves. We will learn basic self-defense techniques, how to be assertive, verbal confrontation skills, and safety strategies. (e.g.: how to get out of a hold, how to get out of a moving vehicle, etc.).
