Event Details
Listen to a story about a tiny sea snail that journeys around the world on the back of a whale’s tail! Following the story, kids get to create their own whale tail (complete with snails!) to bring home and take on new adventures. Presented by the Bailey-Matthews National Shell Museum & Aquarium, the only accredited museum in the country completely dedicated to mollusks and the shells they create. Ages: 6-11. Registration required. Please plan to arrive on time as this program starts promptly at 11am. Your registration is valid only until the start of the program at which time we will admit waitlisted attendees. Thank you for your cooperation and understanding.

Photography During Programs
While attending library programs, visitors may be photographed by library staff. Photographs become library property and may be used in library promotions. Individuals who do not want to be photographed or recorded are responsible for removing themselves from the area or notifying the photographer of their opt-out status.
Caregivers for Kids Programs
This program is intended for children ages 6 to 11 to attend independently while caregivers wait nearby. Seating for caregivers and siblings will be available if space allows. Please speak with staff before registering if caregiver assistance is needed.
