Program Description

Event Details

One of the most difficult aspects of researching German ancestors is trying to handle both old printed texts and the unique German handwriting. This session will provide tools and tips to deal with the old German font known as Fraktur and German handwriting using what are known as Kurrentschrift and Sütterlin. In addition to hints, tips, and resources to help the genealogist unlock documents, there will be lots of hands-on practice to help develop skills.
