Fandom Fest Logo

Fandom Fest is a FREE celebration of fandoms and geek culture for teens and young adults.

Live music and entertainment, gaming by Game Guys, climbing experiences by Mobile Rock Adventures, cosplay workshop and fashion show, character photo opportunities, fandom DIY activities, games, and crafts, virtual reality and tech, RPG games and tutorials, card trading, giveaways, food and merch for purchase and more!

Live entertainment lineup:

  • NOON - Geekapella
  • 1:00 p.m. - Tampa Taiko
  • 2:00 p.m. - Cosplay Fashion Show*
  • 3:00 p.m. - Mega Ran
  • 4:00 p.m. - MC Lars

Cosplay photo ops:

  • 12:30 p.m. - Minions
  • 1:30 p.m. - Starlord
  • 2:30 p.m. - Kylo Ren
  • 3:30 p.m. - Chewbacca

Princess meet and greets:

  • NOON - The Little Mermaid
  • 1:00 p.m. - Belle
  • 2:00 p.m. - Elsa
  • 3:00 p.m. - Moana
  • 4:00 p.m. - Jasmine

Fandom themes include:

  • Space (Star Trek, Star Wars)
  • Sword & Sorcery (Harry Potter, Dungeons and Dragons, Percy Jackson)
  • Superheroes & Villains (Marvel and DC Comics)
  • Asian Culture (Pokémon, Anime, Manga)
  • Princesses (Disney)

Costumes are encouraged, with the following guidelines:

  • No real or realistic looking weapons are allowed
  • Lack of clothing does not = costume; shirt, shoes and bottoms must be worn at all times
  • Attendees will abide by the LCLS Patron Code of Conduct
  • Fandom Fest representatives, library staff members or security personnel reserve the right to inspect costumes and/or accessories
  • Attendees who do not comply with the rules and regulations will be asked to leave the premises.

*Cosplay Fashion Show entrants must register at the Information Booth between NOON-1:30 p.m. All middle school, high school and college students are invited to enter at no cost.

Special services like sign language interpretation and assistive listening can be provided at events to patrons upon request. Photography During Programs

While attending library programs, visitors may be photographed by library staff. Photographs become library property and may be used in library promotions. Individuals who do not want to be photographed or recorded are responsible for removing themselves from the area or notifying the photographer of their opt-out status.
