This power-point lecture will help familiarize everyone with the arts of the great Age of Romanticism.
We will take a look back at its revolutionary origins in ancient Rome, and then examine the amazing Romantic revival in early 19th Century Europe. Viewing samples of their paintings and poems which idealize "enchanted" nature, celebrate universal freedom, and glorify human destiny, we will see how Romantic artists attempted to harness the proverbial search for paradise.
