Program Description

Event Details

America’s first – and only – real school of art was the Hudson River School, a 19th century art movement that was born as a way to craft a new kind of art that glorified the ideals, spirituality, grandeur and majesty of the New World of America as distinct and independent from the old world of Europe. As the school evolved, its practitioners expanded their horizons, geographically and artistically, heading to America’s west, to Central and South America, and finally to “America’s Eden” – Florida.
