Program Description

Event Details

According to the NIMH, 19.1% of U.S. adults experience an anxiety disorder. Anxiety is a natural response to fear—once useful for survival, but often overactive in modern life. Today, many of our fears never materialize, yet we still react as if facing real danger.

This session explores how we can shift our perspective, even when we can't change the situation. We'll discuss mindfulness, positive thinking, meditation, yoga, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) as tools for managing anxiety. You'll learn to recognize different levels of anxiety, rate them on a 1–10 scale, and respond in healthier ways.

We'll also examine the difference between situational anxiety and inherited tendencies, helping you better understand your own patterns. Questions are welcome throughout the talk and at the end.

Registration is preferred but not required.
