In honor of retired Friends President Mr. Green’s service to the East County Regional Library, the East County Regional Library Friends group presents the 2nd Annual Dewitt Green Chess Tournament and Education Day. The Chess Tournament will be hosted from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. in the meeting room and is intended for teens and adults ages 12 and up.
Pre-registration for the tournament is required. Open slotted times available for registration in person are from noon to 1 p.m. the day of the event, based on availability. The tournament will consist of three rounds of 50-minute games. Judges on site will determine the winners. There is a 24 person limit so register early.
A light luncheon, sponsored by the East County Regional Library Friends Group, will be provided from noon to 1 p.m., while supplies last.

While attending library programs, visitors may be photographed by library staff. Photographs become library property and may be used in library promotions.
