From fast, high-energy jigs and reels to captivating airs, ballads, upbeat songs, and sea shanties, Emily Ann Thompson and her husband Kelly Thompson take the audience on a musical and educational journey through the Celtic lands. Emily Ann performs on violin/fiddle while clogging and sings in English and Irish Gaelic. She performs with her husband Kelly on guitar, percussion, and vocals. This program covers Celtic music from Ireland, Scotland, and Canada. Interspersed between the music Emily explains the ornaments & nuances of Celtic music. Their program is very dynamic, energetic, and educational and often people can’t resist clapping, tapping, singing, and even sometimes dancing! They also welcome questions throughout the program.
