Join us for a discussion of Only Child, by Rhiannon Navin. Squeezed into a closet with his classmates and teacher, first-grader Zach Taylor hears shots ring out in his school. The gunman takes nineteen lives and forever changes the fabric of this close-knit community. While Zach's mother seeks justice by holding the shooter's parents responsible, Zach retreats into his hideouts and loses himself in a world of books and art. Armed with newfound understanding, Zach sets out on a journey towards healing and forgiveness.
