Program Description

Event Details

In the arts, before and during World War II, political ideology and promotion of state propaganda were manifest and unmistakable. We will look at castles, manor houses, and shrines built by Herr Hitler, Il Duce Mussolini, and Emperor Hirohito as astounding examples of their “Sun Cult” worship and “Will to Power.”  Featured especially will be Schloss Wewelsburg (Germany), Villa Torlonia (Rome), Yasukini Temple (Tokyo).
