Program Description

Event Details

Join us for a special Storytime and meet author Deana Plaskon, a St. James City resident.  She is the creator of the children's book series Bella and Bird the Emotion Explorers and winner of the Moonbeam Children's Book Award. Inspired by what her horse, Bella, endured with Hurricane Ian on Pine Island, Deana wrote this children’s book series to help children (and adults) navigate big emotions with courage, hope, and heart.

Come enjoy a read-aloud, calming activities, coloring, and a meet and greet with the author! Books will be available for purchase and Deana will be available for book signing.

This program is part of the 27th annual Southwest Florida Reading Festival, to be held on Saturday, March 7. For more information about the festival and its featured authors, visit www.ReadFest.org.
