Program Description

Event Details

In recognition of America’s 250th anniversary, local author Sharmin McKenny will talk about her debut novel, Made to Last Forever: A Family. A House. A Nation. Set in the 1600s, it’s the story of a young family that risked everything to leave England in search of a better life in the wilderness of the New England colonies, and their descendants, who fought to secure their dream forever.

The program will include a Revolutionary War field drummer and representatives from the Estero Island Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution and the Florida Society of the Sons of the American Revolution Color Guard.
