Program Description

Event Details

From Homer to Harry Potter, witches - both bad and good - have been a fixed part of the Western literary tradition. This class will take a bit of a light-hearted look at some of history's literary witches.

Among them will be Circe from the Odyssey, Euripides' Medea, Shakespeare's Weird Sisters from Macbeth, the good and bad witches from The Wizard of Oz, and even the witches - old and young - from J.K. Rowling's beloved Harry Potter books.

Presented by Carol Jonson
